Prolific Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie and her husband Dr Ivara Esege, has lost one of their twins, Nnamdi Nkanu.The boy was 21 months old as at the time of his passing.
In lieu of this, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has sent condolence to her and her husband.
In a condolence message released by the state house President Bola Ahmed Tinubu described loss of a child as the most devastating.
His words,
“I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi. As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.”
