The burial plans of late gospel singer, Bunmi Akinnaanu have been cancelled over family issues. This was announced by her family and friends.

Bunmi died on January 12 after a prolonged leg ailment. Some months before her passing she had publicly appealed for prayers which generated mixed reactions from her fans.
The initial burial plans included service of songs, a candlelight procession, a tribute night on Tuesday, January 20, at the LTV 8 ground in Ikeja, Lagos, private interment service for family and close allies was set for January 21 and others.
However, due to family indifference, those plans have now been called off. This was revealed in a video post shared on Instagram on Sunday, by a colleague of the late singer, Lanre Alewilese.
His words,
“This is to inform you that all plans & arrangements for the burial of our Late Sister & Colleague; *Lady Evang. Bunmi Akinnaanu a.k.a. OMIJE OJUMI by the Burial Planning Committee have been CANCELLED totally,” the post reads.
“This decision becomes necessary due to some issues arising from & within her family.
“We are deeply sorry & regret the inconveniences sir/ma.”
