VeryDarkMan Labels Benue State “Most Underdeveloped” in Viral Video
In a video that has since gone viral, controversial social media personality VeryDarkMan has sparked widespread reactions online after describing Benue State as the most underdeveloped place he has ever visited.
Speaking after a recent trip to the state, the outspoken influencer criticized the level of infrastructure and general development in the area.
“Benue is still in the year 1940,” he claimed. “It is the most underdeveloped state I have ever been to.”
He attributed the state’s challenges to poor road networks and persistent insecurity, which he believes have discouraged potential investors from exploring opportunities in the region.
“Investors can’t come because of bad roads and insecurity,” he said.
VeryDarkMan also revealed that he is currently funding the drilling of a borehole in Yelwata, a community in the state. However, he noted that the project has been halted due to safety concerns.
“The people can’t continue the work because they are afraid of being killed,” he added.
The video has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with his observations while others criticized his remarks as exaggerated and insensitive.
