Senator Abubakar Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, has expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of his Special Assistant, Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi, who passed away in the United Kingdom on Thursday morning.
In a statement issued by the ministry’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Julie Osagie-Jacobs, Senator Bagudu conveyed his heartfelt condolences, saying, “On behalf of all of us in the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, I express our deep sadness for the loss of this young lady, who in her short time with us demonstrated exceptional brilliance and an uncommon dedication to duty.”
The Minister further extended his sympathies to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the family of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi, a close associate of the deceased’s father; and her husband, Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi. He prayed that God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
Born on March 12, 1981, Mrs. Kola-Daisi was highly educated, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Finance from California State University, Northridge, in 2003 and a Master’s in Business Administration from Regent’s Business School, London, in 2005. She also had an extensive career, starting as a Fraud and Risk Analyst with Card Ready International (2000-2003) and later working as the General Manager of Victoria’s Secret (Retail) in California (2005-2007). Before joining the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning in 2023, she served as the CEO and Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Limited and Florence H Luxury in Lekki, Lagos.
Mrs. Kola-Daisi, the first child of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, leaves behind her mother, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi; her husband, Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi; siblings; and three children.
