The drama began after a user identified as @Chubbydiva accused the singer of taking advantage of a vulnerable maid. According to her, the alleged victim was in a disadvantaged position because of her status and age. The post quickly went viral, sparking heated reactions online.
Furious about the claims, Paul Okoye released a fiery statement on his verified X account, warning that he will not let the matter slide. “I will find you,” he wrote, stressing that he would deploy all legal means, influence, money, and resources to ensure the accuser faces the full weight of the law. The singer said the case would serve as an example to deter others from making false allegations against public figures.
In a twist, the user deactivated her social media accounts shortly after the backlash. But Okoye maintained that disappearing online will not shield her from accountability, insisting that the law has ways of tracking offenders regardless of their digital footprints.
Paul Okoye, who has enjoyed decades of success in the Nigerian and global music scene, emphasized that he would not allow his name to be dragged into what he described as a malicious attempt to damage his image.
