Daddy Showkey Reveals Pasuma Supported His Family During Three-Year Hospital Stay After 2007 Accident
Veteran Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey has revealed that fuji icon Pasuma was the only friend who stood by him during one of the darkest periods of his life.
In a now-viral video captured during a recent celebrity event, Daddy Showkey shared an emotional tribute while performing on stage with Pasuma, recalling the aftermath of a near-fatal accident he suffered in 2007. According to the “Ghetto Soldier” crooner, the accident left him hospitalized for three years, during which Pasuma took over the responsibility of caring for his family.
“You see this man,” Daddy Showkey said, pointing to Pasuma, “he stood by me during the bad times and the good times. Many people didn’t see me or hear me sing for years because I had an accident in 2007. I was in the hospital for three years. Pasuma was the one taking care of my family. I can never forget him in my life.”
He went on to express disappointment in others he had considered friends at the time. “After I recovered, I went to visit some of them, but they didn’t even give me the opportunity to see them, let alone help. I got to their houses, and they told me they weren’t around—even when I knew they were inside,” he said.
The touching moment, which has resonated widely online, has sparked a wave of praise for Pasuma’s loyalty and support in the entertainment community.
