Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has registered over 2 million members digitally across the country. This comes barely a week the party commenced membership registration across the federation.

This was disclosed by the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru, in Abuja on Monday during press briefing about the registration.
Senator Ajibola told journalists the figure after the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, had a meeting with its membership e-registration state coordinators.
He said:
“In spite of the fact that many states are yet to commence the exercise in full scale, more than two million Nigerians have already been digitally registered, verified, and captured with their voter registration numbers.
“With increased momentum across the states, we are optimistic that by the next assessment expected next week, the party’s digital membership strength could rise to between eight and nine million.”
“The National Chairman charged all state coordinators to carry out this exercise correctly and within the stipulated timeline.
“Data is central to effective management, and this is even more important for a political party that relies on mobilisation, organisation, and consultation.”
