House Committee Demands Probe into 2025 UTME Errors, Apologizes to Nigerians

The House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education Examination Bodies has called for an independent investigation into the human errors that marred the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The Committee’s Chairman, Hon. Oforji Oboku, who made the demand at a press conference in Abuja, emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the examination process.

He apologized to Nigerians for the inconvenience caused by the errors and assured that all necessary steps would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The Committee also reassured its commitment to working closely with JAMB on critical reforms to restore the credibility of the examination process.
