King Sunny Ade has expressed gratitude to Nigerians and fans around the world for their concern, noting that the recent confusion may have arisen because some of his children had not seen him in a while.
“I know my children love me and want to see me. I haven’t gone anywhere. This is me. I also thank my children for their concern,” he said.
“By God’s grace, the enjoyment continues. I’m still very much in music. Music is my life, my business, and I will keep doing it. I thank everyone across the world for their continued love,” he added.
Damilola Esther Adeniyi Adegeye had earlier raised concerns on social media, alleging that some individuals were preventing her from seeing her father. However, in a video released on Tuesday, King Sunny Ade reassured fans that he is well, healthy, and actively performing at live events. Damilola had claimed that her father was being isolated from his family.
Addressing the situation, King Sunny Ade specifically mentioned that he had performed at an event in Lekki, Lagos over the weekend, and was en route to another performance.
“No one kidnapped me. I constantly pray that such a thing never happens. I believe the world loves me.
“This is me, King Sunny Ade. I thank God and you, my fans, for your concern. I’ve been doing my shows. I was at a show last Saturday in Lekki, Lagos.
“I’m currently heading to another performance and will return again to perform in Lagos. I have nothing more to say than to thank God and thank all of you,” KSA concluded.
