President Joe Biden Impeachment to Start, Washington Examiner Sarah Bedford Claims
The Washington Examiner’s Sarah Bedford has suggested that House Republicans are inching closer to initiating an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden.
This potential move, according to The Washington Examiner news publication on Tuesday, August 22, comes as lawmakers continue their investigations into Biden’s alleged involvement in his son’s foreign business deals.
While Republicans in the House of Representatives have previously discussed the idea of impeaching Biden, Bedford indicates that pursuing a credible impeachment is not feasible “at this very moment.”
However, she notes that recent developments seem to align with information provided by IRS whistleblowers and the findings of House Republicans.
Bedford explained, “But they’re getting close. And these developments sort of support everything that IRS whistleblowers have said.”
Sarah added saying, “Everything that House Republicans have unearthed about the way the Justice Department has handled the investigation has actually been supported by what Hunter Biden’s legal team has leaked over the weekend.”
The discussions around impeaching Biden have gained momentum. Rep. James Comer (R-KY) recently mentioned his intent to obtain additional bank records that could shed light on how Biden benefitted from his son’s business dealings.
Comer also highlighted that Biden used various names and aliases when communicating with his son during his time as vice president.
