In a video interview circulating on social media, Ayebo recounted how Olamide was the first artist to mention his name in a track, an act he said initially brought him joy and boosted his visibility. “Olamide was the first to use my name in his song, and I was so happy,” he said. “My name is blessed by God, that’s why Davido, Olamide, and even skit makers have been using it.”

Ayebo also shared an encounter with Fuji legend Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, who questioned whether Olamide had compensated him for using his name. “Pasuma asked me, ‘Yemo, did Olamide settle you for singing with your name?’ I told him no, I’ve never even seen him in person, let alone received any kind of settlement.”

According to the actor, Pasuma immediately called Olamide to address the issue, prompting their first-ever phone conversation. During the call, Olamide reportedly asked Ayebo to collect his number from Pasuma and promised to stay in touch.

However, Ayebo claimed that despite repeated attempts over six months—including phone calls and text messages—Olamide never responded.

“I called him for more than six months. He didn’t pick up, and he didn’t reply to my messages,” Ayebo stated.
