President Muhammadu Buhari launched the new designs on Wednesday, 23 November, 2022, in Abuja, but footage from that event is yet to hit the internet.
However, an Abuja Bureau Chief of Nigerian Tribune Newspaper, Dr. Leon Usigbe, shared images of the new designs on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday morning.
Another Twitter user also shared an image of the design, describing the design as a filter used to remint the naira as against a totally new design.
As at the time of filing this report, no official image had been made public by the Central Bank of Nigeria, neither was there any by the President, nor the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
