Okebukun Cultural Day: Chief Aiyenale Fred Jimoh Pledges N500,000 Donation for Okebukun Civic Centre in Kabba/Bunu LGA

In a show of commitment to community development, Chief (Hon.) Aiyenale Fred Jimoh, the Supervisory Councilor for Works, Housing, Land, and Survey in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, pledged a donation of N500,000 toward the completion of the Okebukun Civic Center.

The announcement was made during the annual cultural day celebration and fundraising event for Okebukun Bunu in Kabba/Bunu LGA.

Chief Aiyenale, who holds an honorary traditional title in Okebukun Bunuland, highlighted the significance of supporting local causes, expressing pride in the people’s rich cultural heritage.

The cultural day featured a vibrant display of traditional attire, music, and performances that celebrated the unity and hospitality of the Okebukun people.

Addressing the attendees, Chief Aiyenale acknowledged the role of the Bunu community in his political career, referring to Bunuland as his enduring political foundation.

“The Bunu people have supported me in every step of my political journey, and they remain my political pillar to this day,” he stated, vowing to continue his unwavering support for Bunuland’s interests and to uphold the trust placed in him.

Chief Aiyenale noted that the pledged donation would be channeled through the Olu of Okebukun or the Okebukun Development Association, emphasizing his commitment to seeing the civic center project come to fruition. He also offered prayers for unity, peace, and divine protection over the people of Bunuland and Kabba Bunu.

The event drew critical stakeholders and community leaders who commended Chief Aiyenale’s dedication, seeing his contribution as a step toward strengthening community bonds and preserving the legacy of the Okebukun people for future generations.
