Prof. Simon Ndubuisi, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Scientific Equipment Development Initiative, SEDI, Enugu State, has reportedly been killed.
The Federal Government Agency Director was assassinated by unknown gunmen on the Enugu Port-Harcourt Expressway on Wednesday, according to NEWS DIRECT.
He was being driven in his official vehicle, which was labeled “SEDI 26D 02FG.”
The gunmen also killed his police orderly. As of the time of posting this story, his driver’s fate remained unknown.
Images and video of the heinous murder are currently circulating on the internet.
However, as of the time of reporting this story, the Enugu State Police Department had yet to confirm the event.
The Enugu-based Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI) is part of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASEI) (NASENI). It’s in Enugu South Local Government Area’s Akwuke.
The institute is actively involved in science research, development, and dissemination, all of which have greatly aided the nation’s growth and development.
