Budding actress and model, Olusola Adedoyin Bamishigbin aka Sola Bamis has been nominated for the prestigious Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award.
The talented thespian, who is a niece to prolific movie and TV producer, Tunji Bamishigbin, was nominated in the ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series’ category for her role in the drama series, ‘Mad Men.’
The Awards ceremony holds on Saturday, January 31, 2016, at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. The event will also witness the presentation of the 52nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award to American actress, comedian, singer, and writer, Carol Burnett.
Sola, who is based in the United States, has appeared in several television shows such as Mad Men (AMC), Killer Women (ABC), Mistresses (ABC), Perception (TNT), Jane By Design (ABC Family), among others. She has also acted in short films including ‘Unmanned’ and ‘Where the Sun Don’t Shine.’
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Miami, as well as a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts.
