Students of Oriwu Model College, Ikorodu listen with rapt attention to star actress cum politician, Funke Adesiyan‘s career talk on the occasion of her birthday on Tuesday.

The life changing career talk took her to how she started acting, her foray into Law, acting, farming and lessons life has taught.

Funke also took time to answer questions from the students who were excited to listen to her.
“Education is very important. Follow your passion and make your dreams a reality.

Funke also shared her social media accounts and email with the students for further questions and conversation.

The school Principal, Alhaja Abiodun Sheri Ogunniyi, staff and management of the school commended the actress for choosing to have a career talk with the students and not engage in a jamboree trip to Dubai or other capitals of the world to celebrate her birthday.

“This is a lofty step and our celebrities must emulate this. We pray to God to continue to be with you and make you a shining example among peers.”

The school, in appreciation of her initiative, promised to engage her the annual school calendar’s Career Talk Week.

The Vice-Principal, Administration, Mr. Alaka Lasisi urged the students to emulate Funke Adesiyan, who she said is successful because she listened to what the teachers taught her when she was in the school.

One of the teachers who taught her as a student in the school, Alhaja Tawakalitu Mojisola Tijani, (Yoruba Language), expressed her joy that one of her products returned to show appreciation to her Alma Mater.

She urged the students to emulate celebrities whose lifestyles are worth celebrating as role models, as well as imbibe the lessons taught them in school to become successful in life.
