The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, has advised that students living off-campus should remain indoors on Wednesday, August 12th
because of the curfew in the ancient city. The curfew which will last from 9:00am till 4pm and from 11pm till dawn was put in place because of the Oro festival which is to be observed as part of the final rites for the late Ooni of Ife, Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II.
The statement was released by Mrs L. M Durosinmi, the acting Dean of students
affairs.
