Lamar Odom still thinks of Khloe Kardashian as his wife and claims any man making a move on her is ‘wasting his time.’
Despite their divorce being finalized last month, and Khloe already moving on with new boyfriend James Harden, the 35-year-old insists they are still married.
In a ‘rambling’ interview with InTouch Magazine, the former professional basketball player appears to admit cheating on the 31-year-old, but reveals he will ‘never be completely happy’ without the E! star.
He also denied ambushing her outside SoulCylce in Beverly Hills last week: differing sources claim Khloe screamed and fled when Lamar tried to grab her arm, while others say they had been driving around in her car together shortly beforehand.
‘We spoke [beforehand],’ Lamar told InTouch. ‘A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public.
‘I did not ambush Khloe. I am not a threat to her,’ he said.
‘It’s hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife.’
The former Los Angeles Laker said if he doesn’t get back together with her, he will ‘never be completely happy.’
‘She’s [my] soul mate. I can’t control it. We’ll never part,’ he said. ‘I would never consider myself serious with another woman. To sum it up, if a man is attempting to court Khloé, he’s probably wasting his time.’
He describes the reality star as ‘brave and stubborn, the ultimate caregiver, a smart, intelligent, beautiful woman who has been through a lot, so I understand her pain.’
‘We really like each other. Forgiveness is so strong and means so much. If the answer is no, it doesn’t change how I feel about her,’ he said.
The pair married in September 2009, just one month after meeting, and even had their own Keeping Up With The Kardashians spinoff reality show, Khloe & Lamar.
But after months of separation, Khloe fled for divorce in December 2013 admit accusations he had been unfaithful – which he appeared to admit in the interview.
