Multi-lingua Nollywood movie, ‘Beyond Blood’ is set to go to the cinemas from Friday, January 15, 2016. Meanwhile, there would be an exclusive premiere of the movie at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Thursday, January 14, 2016.
The movie, shot on locations in Lagos, Nigeria, and London, UK, is in English, Pidgin, French and Yoruba language with subtitles. The story chronicles the ills in our society and the world – Prostitution, Drug addiction, AIDS, Homosexuality, Eastern European Trafficking gangs and a culture that legitimises tyranny and injustice especially of women trapped in the vagrancies of culture and tradition. These are themes that are afflicting the world generally now and our film will further call attention to these issues.
According to a press release made available to E24-7 Magazine, “We told a simple story. It is a story that does not aim to change the world or its preoccupations. Rather, it is to take the audience on a journey, while respecting and honoring their decision to watch this particular film in a world filled with other choices. It is a beautiful story of love that begs the question “can love truly conquer all.” To that, the answer is, maybe and maybe not. Yet it depends on the window through which one views the world.”
The 136 minutes thriller cum love story is a production of Greg Odutayo Film. It was produced in collaboration with Royal Roots Nigeria, HF Media and the Script Kompany, UK.
It is written by Debo Oluwatuminu, produced by Deborah Odutayo and directed by Greg Odutayo. The executive Producers are Bidemi Fahm and Greg Odutayo.
